Supplier Code of Conduct on Forced Labor, Child Labor, and Supply Chain Transparency
As a supplier to Enterprise Paper Co. Ltd., you are expected to adhere to the following principles and standards. This Code of Conduct sets forth the minimum requirements for conducting business with integrity and responsibility.
In alignment with Canadian Bill S-211, Enterprise Paper Co. Ltd. is committed to maintaining a supply chain free from forced labor, child labor, and exploitative practices. We are dedicated to ethical business conduct and the protection of human rights at every level of our operations and partnerships.
1. Prohibition of Forced and Child Labor
Suppliers must not engage in or support the use of forced labor, child labor, or any form of human trafficking. This includes, but is not limited to, bonded labor, involuntary prison labor, or work extracted under coercion, threats, or deception.
2. Due Diligence and Risk Mitigation
Suppliers are expected to cooperate with Enterprise Paper’s due diligence efforts, which include:
- Participating in evaluations and audits
- Providing verification of workers’ employment age and working conditions
- Implementing immediate corrective action plans in cases of non-compliance
Our goal is to ensure a transparent, responsible, and exploitation-free supply chain through active monitoring and risk assessments.
3. Collaboration, Advocacy, and Accountability
Suppliers must:
- Comply with applicable local, national, and international labor laws
- Acknowledge and agree to this Code of Conduct
- Provide supporting documentation or evidence of compliance when requested
- Participate in audits and assessments
Failure to comply may result in termination of the business relationship and notification of relevant regulatory authorities.
4. Transparency and Reporting
Enterprise Paper is committed to fulfilling its reporting obligations under Bill S-211. Suppliers are required to maintain accurate records and provide information relevant to labor practices, due diligence activities, and risk mitigation measures upon request.
5. Training and Awareness
We encourage suppliers to promote awareness among their employees and subcontractors regarding the risks of forced and child labor. Suppliers should ensure their teams understand applicable labor laws and reporting procedures.
6. Reporting Mechanisms
Suppliers must maintain or cooperate with mechanisms that allow employees and stakeholders to report suspected unethical practices confidentially and without retaliation. All reported concerns will be reviewed and addressed promptly.
7. Continuous Commitment
Suppliers are expected to continuously evaluate and improve their labor practices in alignment with evolving international standards and best practices. Regular assessments will support our shared goal of eradicating forced and child labor.
Acknowledgment and Agreement
By signing the vendor onboarding form, the supplier confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Code of Conduct. The supplier agrees to cooperate fully with any due diligence, audits, or assessments conducted by Enterprise Paper Co. Ltd. and affirms their commitment to ethical labor practices.
